CHAIRMAN’S  MESSAGE
The Union County Improvement Authority is an economic development engine that is helping to move Union County forward.

Through the creation of important public projects such as the Park Madison in Plainfield, the Union County College Campus expansion in Elizabeth, and the Juvenile Detention Center in Linden, we are helping to keep our residents at work, and providing
services in areas such as public safety, education, workforce training and counseling.

We help save taxpayer’s money through low financing rates, and spark public projects and development that might not have otherwise become a reality.
It’s all about improving the quality of life in
Union County, and it happens through the efforts of our Executive Director, Charlotte DeFilippo. It also happens through the support of the Union County Freeholder Board, and the hard work of the Improvement Authority’s professional team and staff.

As someone whose family has deep roots in Union County, I am proud to be the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners. We have done much to jumpstart new development and we have worked as a team to realize important accomplishments. I take great satisfaction in having contributed to the creation of
outstanding public facilities and purchases that I know will help our residents.

There is still much work to be done, and I look forward to making Union County even greater than before.
